MULTICODER 500 v2.0
===================
Organelle sampler / phase-vocoder instrument
Hardware-tested on Organelle S2

OVERVIEW
--------
Multicoder 500 is an expanded revision of Multicoder by t8r.
It keeps the four-note polyphonic phase-vocoder instrument and adds a fixed,
persistent 500-slot sample library designed for hands-on recording directly
from the Organelle.

WHAT'S NEW
----------
- 500 fixed user sample slots plus protected ORIGINAL.
- No ghost samples from pressing AUX.
- No ever-growing automatic sample counter.
- Record directly into the currently selected slot.
- Re-record / overwrite any user slot.
- Persistent slot recall with the Selector encoder.
- Two-step erase confirmation for user slots.
- ORIGINAL / Slot 0 cannot be recorded over or erased.
- AUX command keys are suppressed musically, removing the short vocoder burst
that could occur when starting a recording.

CONTROLS
--------
Selector encoder:
Turn = browse ORIGINAL, then Slot 1 ... Slot 500

AUX + leftmost wooden key:
START recording into the selected user slot.
If the slot already contains a sample, the new recording overwrites it.

AUX + rightmost wooden key:
STOP + SAVE the current recording.

AUX + second wooden key from the left:
First press = request ERASE confirmation.
Second press within about 4 seconds = erase the selected user slot.

AUX alone:
Does not create or advance a sample slot.

ORIGINAL
--------
ORIGINAL is Slot 0 and is protected. Record and erase commands do not modify it.
The included sound.wav is the original Multicoder demonstration sound.

SLOT STATUS
-----------
EMPTY = the slot has no user recording.
READY = the slot contains a playable recording.

ERASE METHOD
------------
Erase is intentionally shell-free. The selected slot's WAV is replaced by a
one-sample silent WAV and the slot is marked EMPTY. This avoids filesystem
rename/delete operations during performance.

PERFORMANCE KNOBS
-----------------
1. Speed
2. Tune
3. Start
4. Length

INSTALLATION
------------
1. Unzip the download.
2. Copy the complete "Multicoder 500" folder to the Organelle Patches folder
(for example Patches/Samplers/ if that is how your library is organized).
3. On the Organelle choose Storage > Reload if needed.
4. Open Multicoder 500.

NOTES
-----
- User recordings are stored inside the patch's recordings folder.
- This public package contains no personal recordings.
- Keep backups of recordings you care about before replacing or deleting a
  patch folder.
